Jim- what size tires are on the rear? What rear?

Years ago I had a 78 with 455/t400, it was fun.

275/60/15 rear, they wheels that are on it now don't have enough backspace, I have to keep some air in the air bags to keep it from rubbing. With the right offset they will fit. The rear that is in it now is the stock rear, I have a 12 bolt from a 70 Chevelle that is going in. I have decided to run a solid cam instead of the HR, wish me luck. -Jim

Unhappy Stolen Car

Sad to report my 78 Grand Am was stolen last week. I let my 22 year old son take his date to the movies(Newnan Ga.) in it , he parked it 4 rows from the front door. If anyone here is in Georgia or sees the car, please call the police and e-mail me at jamesthompson4@comcast.net The VIN is on the national network as stolen. Thanks -Jim

Hope you get it back! Maybe it was just taken for a joy ride and it will show up somewhere?

Jim, I read about your loss on another site. Can't tell you how bad I feel. If my TA disappeared not sure how I would react. I know it's a constant possibility but I very rarily park it for any length of time or out of site for long. I just don't drive it that much, but I do intend to in the future. And that's always on my mind. I sure hope it shows up and without too much missing/wrecked. Many years ago my brothers el camino was taken and found literaly destroyed from the joy ride. Keep us informed. Did you have theft? If so maybe you can get something out of it. How is your son doing? He's got to be beside himself. Take care. MArk L
