| Any difference in trans lenth?? I am not sure if I should be trying to match this up with a 2nd gen camaro type car since its a chevy motor with a chevy trans. The car is a 70 firebird with a inline 6 and a powerglide trans. 1.Would the crossmember trans mount still be in the same location as a pontiac turbo 350 trans?? 2.or even if I went with a chevy V8 with a chevy TH350 trans would it still mount up in the same location. Just trying to find out if the crossmember was different with the POWERGLIDE trans. | |||||||||||

| There were different cross members offered with the different transmissions. I know there is a specific for the T400. I swapped from a T350, to a T400, to a 4 speed and changed a crossmember in there at one point. I believe the frame will have multiple holes to accommodate different trans and engine setbacks, so you should have some adjustment there.

| As Chuck said, but keep in mind the location the cross member may change on the frame going from a chevy six to a V8. If I remember correctly, the frame is drilled for different mounting locations for the cross member.
