problem lining up hood

I am having trouble getting the hood lined up on the drivers rear section of my 64 lemans. I managed to get the other three corners lined up perfectly (both drivers/pass side on front of hood and the pass side rear) but the other corner is not wanting to go down far enough. I have adjusted the drivers side hood hinge by lowering the rear bolt and raising the front bolt to their max tolerance yet the corner of hood is still 1/2 inch or so above the adjacent fender. Any idea on what I may be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As strange as it may seem, try shimming the front bolt on the hood - hinge on that side, sometimes that helps. The scissor style of the old hood hinges makes shims act opposite to what you'd think. The hinge may be worn, but sometimes shimming does the trick.

you might also find that corner has a broken spot weld where the hinge bolts to. My 55 has just that, no matter how much shimming and adjustment it doesnt sit right unless a push it down

Did you have your fenders off? If so, there's your first adjustment.
