My New Bird

Well guys, I just closed the deal on this car long distance. I am hoping the transportation company can get the car to me within the next couple of weeks.

Apparently Mean Ole Mr Rust has had his way with the back half of the car so I may be in search of a donor shell.

On the good side:
Original 400 with functional shaker and correct air cleaner, ducting, etc
All Rally rims are in good shape with trim rings and center caps
Complete interior in good shape except for 1 crack on the dash
3:73 Posi rear end
All spoilers, trim, glass is intact
The bumpers are in great shape
Oh yeah, it runs and drives like a scalded dog
So, I'll be investing in some new door skins, floor plans, rear quarters, and at least one new front fender. Everything above the wheelwell is in good shape though.

so I guess the big question now is. . .

Will you have it ready in time for Power Tour?

I guess the proof is in the pudding, or so they say....lol.

Texas Trans Am's has a donor shell I can pick up if needed, so I guess since my bumpers are good, the nose is good, and everything outside the door skins and front drivers fender, I should be in fairly good shape.

If I can find a deal on the entire door I may save myself the headache of re-skinning.

The drivers side fender shouldn't be that hard to find as well.

The wife has already been assigned to everything interior... hehe

Yeah, not as much as I am, but she has never been afraid to turn a wrench. Plus, there was a cost. She made me promise that we would find her a 80' Indy Pace Car once this one is done.

We're gonna need a bigger garage....

Count me as poor and happy then, will be happier when she's sitting in my garage.

I'll snap some better pics then.

I get that every once in a while. At least the past few years now I haven't bought any cars. I don't have any space right now to buy another car.
