67 Lemans Find

I got this for my 40th bday. not running when i bought it but for $1500 I think i made out ok. the wiring is in disarray and ive put in a carb, shifter cable and put it in black primer so far, it ran for the first time when i put the new summit carb on it. hearing it fire up for the first time is quite a joy, it shot a mouse nest out of one of the tailpipes.

Unless that blue was hiding a lot, it looks pretty solid. Nice find.

By the way, Chris, did you notice there are no Papst signs in his garage?

Ya man, you need a pabst sign in your garage.

Schlitz is good though, so you've got a start.

true blue

it was the original faded blue, same in the trunk lid with the original jack storage and usage stickers and under the hood. what you see is what was rusty. thats why i jumped on it. when i heard it was for sale and what he was looking for, i was expectiong to see a totally dofferent monster when i went and looked at it.

I wish i sould have videoed the start up after the new carb and lines.
BIG SMILE

my daughter approves of the primer job

my wife and i picked the seat coevers off teh clearance rack at advance auto, it'll do for now not having the old torn vinyl digging into your legs. we used the headrest covers to compliment the armrests, haha

I do have an old pabst can on my bar, the old type you needed a can opener to open.
its next to my can of billy beer

i took it out for a short illegal spin yesterday and i need to adjust the shift cable and hook up he kickdown. i still need to hook up the electric choke but it starts right up. i washed off the dust and crap from sitting in the garage as a table all summer and boy it looked good wet as opposed to the flat primer.

Hot Muscle cars and hot women...both look better wet!
I would do the same as you, take her for a spin. Probably enough to get a ticket.
Look mighty fine!

$1500 hardly any rust and it had an engine in it? You got it running and drove it with just a few hours of work? You did real good. Much better than I did thats for sure! Going for the punisher look then? Doesnt look like it would take much to make it shiny, I would kill someone for a car that clean and complete.
