I found a site to decode the carb number. My carb #17081205

1708 = 1980s
1 = Year 1981
2 = Quadrajet 4bbl
0 = Chevrolet
5 = odd# = manual transmission

Is the fact it's for a manual transmission going to be a problem??

No, should work fine Red. May need to re jet for the best performance with your combo, but overall, its the same carb as an automatic.

I have the front clip bolted on the car now.... installed the rad and shroud yesterday. Drained the water out and removed all the hoses. Gonna replace them all with new ones.

Do you have a pic of the grilles, and where they mount? I could tell you them, maybe. But I don't carry any blow up pics of your car on me. Sorry. lol.

(Do not even think about it Ponch and Chris! Tech thread!)

I may have that info for you. Let me look tonight. I also may have a set of window felt. I got a set from PUI and they don't fit quit right, but would if the screw holes where altered a bit with a dermal tool. I called PUI and told them and they said they'd just send me new ones.
I'll send you a PM or post in tech, so we don't upset Mikey
