eagle delete?

so on my 77 theres no bird. no trim no nothing.


but i was snooping around and broke in to the glove box ( because original keys were lost so i put in a new ignition to get me by till i get the set for ignition, doors and trunk )


i was told it was eagle delete. the insurance card says my car is white. but its black.

my question.

did all Ta's have a bird, or were there in fact some trans ams with out the bird?.

the paint looks original, and i think it would been to much work to paint it black from white.

the trunk lids black and the inside of trunk and rocker panels and inside engine, i really dont think that the previous owner put that much love in to it.

that and the Vin code says black lol.


so on the hood no eagle, no fade of an eagle, no lines. but it could just be a black firebird hood
right?


also if anyone cna help me out. if there is a eagle delete, can someone show me a picture of one?

and tell me what other decals may be on it? such as TA markings small birds ect ect

I know I've read about cars ordered without the hood bird. Not sure about the rest of the decals tho.

i believe if the car was ordered without the bird, it was minus the entire decal kit. i believe some were shipped to dealers this way, not just ordered. cant remember the source of this. im getting old i guess. then again, it could have been painted. i have stripped many a bird and changed the color for customers. everyone wanted black at one time, and this meant a total color change.
