HCP HEY NOOBS!! Read this!!

This is not only for Noobs, but for everyone else as well. To aid us in helping you with your tech questions, it's often time necessary to know WTF kind of car you're asking about. So please put that info in your signature. It can be simple, or it can be more detailed. Since it's impossible for all of us to remember what everyone else is driving, this should help greatly.

Here are some examples using my own car.

Example:

1977 Trans Am SE

or...

1977 Trans Am SE
467 ci/TH-400

or...

1977 Trans Am SE
467/TH400
Resto-Mod, Touring Machine, MaryAnn's wet dream.

LOL! You can put what you want, but anything that will help in the tech section is cool. Thank you, and Welcome to HCP! Stay Hard!

It's late. I'm noob, Just wanted to say so, I admit it. Hope to kick it, if you guys let me.Been a die hard Poncho fan for almost 4 decades.Been semi retired from them about one decade due to family matters,(twin 13 yr old girls and an old house).Been able to retain a cond.5 73 T/A and a garage full of parts.Hope to begin working again soon, and with the inspiration I get from viewing everyone elses cool projects, the future looks better.Keep the Pontiac faith, and even tho GM doesn't belive in you, I do.
Later dudes

Thumbs up Greenhorn

Hello Everybody.
I'm new to the site. I'm doing some research for my son and passing it on (maybe he'll check out your site after I tell him about it). He's got a 1967 Pontiac Firebird with the original 326 engine and automatic transmission. He's been restoring it cosmetically but the handling needs some help so I'm trying to hook him up with some folks who provide upgraded suspension components. The car has excessive body roll, rides hard, understeers, and rubs on the bumps. Still a lot of fun and always gets attention. Everyone loves the looks of his Firebird and I think it's a true classic.
I'm a long-time certified car freak (I'm 53), but lately my tastes tend to run to 50's and early 60's sportscars. I'm restoring a 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 right now. I've had it since 1982. Attached some pics. WAY different type of ride than a Firebird or GTO, but it will be a lot of fun nonetheless. The Astons were considered pretty sporty back in the day with their twin cam sixes (the DB2 took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their class at Le Mans back in 1951), but it's not likely to raise the pulse of someone used to putting their foot into a tricked out 455 cubic inch V8. Anyway, this is a great site. I'm enjoying it and learning a few things too.
Mike
