| '71 vs '72 Firebird Grills? Are '71 and '72 grills the same/ I have heard that they will bolt in just fine but the webbing is just a little different. I want to keep everything as original as possible and am seeing '70 grills but not any '71's. | |||||||||||

| 70 and 71s are the same, using small squares for the grill material. 72 used a flattened hexagon shape, 73 used a rectangular pattern with larger openings than the 70-71 squares. . Hope this helps

| 72's are also known as honeycomb grilles, because of the patterns. I like the way those grilles look by the way. ![]()
