| 69 front headlight rubber I need to know when painting a 69 firebird does the rubber around the headlights and behind the bumper get painted and how did it come from the factory...If it doesnt how do you clean them up good new rubber is real chalky and not shiny how do you shine it up.. thanks | |||||||||||

| no paint on the rubber. I use a little lacquer thinner, and sometimes mix it down with some reducer or pre clean....if thats not available even some light oil anything to keep it from attacking the rubber too much.

| That color was a mismatched 1970 Atoll blue, I had a gallon and decided to paint the car. Liberty blue is a lil darker, and Windward is a little more teal, so it kinda lands right in the middle.

| Same for your '69... assemble the front pieces together after... and make sure your painter edge paints everything! Thats the best way to end up with a professional looking job.
