| Hi. I'm working on a 67 gto with parchment interior. In 67 pontiac painted the seat trim and upper door pannels a shade of white. Does anyone know what that shade of white is? I bought some interior paint from Ames Performance that was parchment. The paint color from Ames was no where near the white color that was original to the car. Thanks for any help! Joe | |||||||||||

| I have found SEM to make the only decent interior colors. I had a interior piece color matched at the paint store and was happy with the results. The '69 parchment is a pearl and I am not sure but I believe yours is as well. Of course this means you will be spraying the paints from a paint gun not a can. for quick touch-ups this product is surprisingly effective, and its not just off-white! check for 67,69 parchment... as 68 is different. http://npd.dirxion.com/WebProject.as...Code=bir09flx# p.150

| Thanks for the info. I will let you know what I come up with. So are you say that the trim color is more pearl color and not the parchment that has a lot of gold tone to it like the paint that I got from Ames Performance. | |||||||||||

The best way is to have some made for your car to match your interior. If you have new upholstery the shade may be different, or the base color may change for the different years. The paints and dyes I got from Ames sprayed like off-white with no pearl at all! so what you got sounds different. Color matching is the way to go IMO.

| Hey Pontiaddict nice looking cars! I think I may of gotten some miss marked paint because the paint I got was labeled parchment and it is a very gold looking color. When I look at your interior in your red car the covers that go on the back of the seats and lower seat trim looks like a white or peral compared to what I have. I guess I need to call Ames again. However, I called them once and they told me it was correct and that parchment had a gold base but I think what I have is beyond a gold base. I might have to take your advise and have a paint store color match it. Trouble is I have already painted over all of the small parts and the only parts that have not been painted is the top of the doors and upper quarters. This is the area that is above the interior door and quarter pannels. Thanks for all of your help. Now I don't think that I'm going nuts over this matter! Joe | |||||||||||
