1970 T/a Pix

Here are a few pics of most of my 70. It is partially wet sanded now. I hope to have it put together and buffed out some time in the next few weeks. When I was younger I trained as a body man and worked as one for a few years before I got into Tig Welding and precision sheet metal. Doing the body work and painting this car made me realize that I made the right decision so many years ago.. I HATE BODY AND PAINT.[rr]

Looks like you're doing a pretty good job though. Did you have much body work to do, or was it a minor this and that type thing?

Just twenty years and three kids worth of dings and scratches. No major work, the car is all clean metal, so that makes it a little easier. I will post more pix as I go.

Looking good Craig!! I'm proud, but I have a question, do you collect tires as a second hobby?

MA, Yes I do as a matter of fact. In that stack is a set of American 200s with Radial T/A's that I had on my car forever. Also in that stack is one of the original tires to my car, that if I ever get the repo Poly Glas will be going in the trunk for the spare. Quite a collection if I say so myself.

Sometimes I have no patience. I buffed out the roof. If the rest of the car looks as good as this I will be pretty happy, and I see no reason that it won't.

Like glass! I love it! Add some Zaino Bros polish to that thing in a month or so, and she'll shine like crazy!

Thanks Mike, I can tell you one thing for sure if it ever needs to be done again I am going to put it on a transport and send it to your house. I am thru, I never want to pick up a spray gun again for as long as I live. All kidding aside, I know that I am not telling you anything but the pride that you , I and others have in DOING IT OURSELVES can't be beat. Anybody can throw $$$$$ at it but it takes someone special to do it themselves. Make sure MA takes a look. I will post more pics in a week or two. Tell MA that I even cleaned the motor LOL

I already have to many cars, seriously thinking about selling my TA. In the process of building a new home, don't need anymore toys. And yes I'm not kidding all the car needed was a fresh paint job, $19,000 62000 original miles, it was all there and a one owner car. The guy knew me through a few car clubs, and wanted it to have a good home which it would have in my fleet, just not the right time right now.

MA, I said that I cleaned the motor. I did not say that I got it to your standards. But you have to give me credit for a BIG improvment.
