68 Firebird Project

Well, since we vacated our old stomping ground, looks as though I need to get the project loaded up here.

I haven't done much...er... any work since last summer on the bird. My wife had the baby in early November and since then my two boys keep me hopping. With that said I told my wife that my intentions were to start back on the firebird and work to get that thing done.

Here are some pics of the start and where it's at now:

What are your plans for it? Resto or driver? Is that just a little surface rust on the floors or is it worse than the pictures let on. Don't feel bad about not getting anything done since November. Kids and family tend to steal alot of the hobby time and of course the hobby money. In my case its not been there done that, its being there doing that.

I am definately building it to drive. My goal is to do a "Pro-Touring" car. Actually, it will probably get to look like one, it just won't quite handle as good as one. Just don't have the cash for all the Pro-Tour goodies.

Most of it is surface rust on the floor pans, however there are a few pin holes in the driver side pan that need to be replaced. The car is overall pretty solid so far.
