If I'm correct, the headers will bolt up to a '59 engine as long as they're d-port. Is this right?

If so, I wonder if I can get some shortys to fit in there. Like these....

Hacked alternator wiring

On the 79 t/a i'm redoing for my daughter someone hacked the hell out of the original wiring to the alternator. I suspect that they were having a lot of trouble because there were 2-3 alternators inside the car when I got it.

I think I can figure out where the two wires for the plug come from, but i'm having difficulty envisioning the routing of the output wire. And on my race t/a the original wiring is long gone as the battery is now in the trunk, so using it for a reference won't work.

So the question is - where does the output wire from the alternator run to? The starter? And does the wire run along the top of the engine between the intake and valve cover and then around the back of the head and then to the starter? There is a wiring guard tube present between #1 and #3 and some wires were run thru it. I suspect this is for the + cable, but what else might run thru it?

Hardcore Bob!

Meet Bob! Bob is a pet turkey who I met yesterday. While Bob was getting his HD system set up, the jealous hens, (i.e. attack chickens,) were trying to stop me from doing it. But Bob came to the rescue, and thwarted the attack on me and the Man van. It was pretty funny to watch as Bob made those chickens his bitches. [lmao]
So due to Bob's valor, he is this month's Hardcore mascot. Yeah, I know, that's usually a spot saved for Gordy, but we can't eat Gordy for Thanksgiving dinner. [lmao]

Fenderwell exit headers in progress

I always liked the look of gassers and fenderwell exit headers are the best way for me to get away from the steering, starter and clutch linkage. And since I'm going over the frame instead of under there won't be any ground clearance issues.

I started off using the Hedman 4 tubes I bought. I forget what they're from. I bought them used, I think the guy had an early 80s Firbird??? So far I chopped the main pipes as close to the flange as I could. I cut a few pieces and kind of figured out where each pipe is going to go. I'll post pictures. I need to cut some of the inner fender out so I'll make more progress next time I go out there. Hopefully Friday.

The thing I'm most concerned about right now is the 2 middle pipes. Seems like a tough weld between the 2. Will I have to get this part tig welded? Is it possible with a mig?

Made Second Class

Well, as some of you know, i am in the Navy and i found out today that i made second class. ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a third class now, but in a couple weeks i will have the title Second Class petty officer of the united states navy. 200 more bucks a month, more responsibility, more respect and so much more. Second class is where it's all at. I finally passed the hard ass test for my rate and i made it this time. I found out this morning. I got to tell you i was probably the happiest person in the world. I am so excited. Just thought i would share with all ya. Anybody else on here in the Navy??[hcp][hcp]
