  • '69 front end on a '70 Bonne?

Ok, so I have a '70 bonneville 2door hardtop, 455, nice car. I love the side lines on this car as well as the back end. I was hoping the front end would grow on me, but it really hasn't. Now... I really like the front end of the '69 bonne, but hate the way the backend looks on them.

Is it possible to swap out the fendors, hood, grill, rad support, etc... to fit the front of the '69 on my '70? I know I'm probably going to make purests cringe, but this isn't exactly a super sought after car and I just want to do it the way I want to do it!

I think you'd have to look at the body lines to see if they would match up?

'69-70 4dr doors are the same

'69 and '70 2 dr doors are different (could just be the way the window regulators mount in the doors??)

          Fenders are different

Windshields are the same(HDTP '69-'70) sedans windshields are different from HDTP

Hood hinges are the same '69 and '70

'69 and '70 Sedans side windows are the same

'69 and '70 HDTP side windows are different

          Hoods are different

Your just going to have to compare the 2 bodies side by side check both 2 dr '69 and '70

Well, you guys certainly jump right in to help! Didn't expect so many responses in just one day! So what I can gather, mechanically the two should be interchangeable, I'm just going to have to get down and really either go over them both with a fine tooth comb to see if the lines match, or just take a fender, stub it into place, and see how everything lines up then huh?

Either way this will be a fun challenge, and at the end of the day if this swap doesn't work... at least it's not a Ford.

That's the way I would go. If you have the complete clip it will save a lot of headaches.
