    My 71 is currently sporting a 70 front bumper.ive found a cherry 69 version..im guessing a direct bolt on?
If not Ill just hang it over the fire place.O:-)

Different curve in front fender. '68-69 had curve wher-as '70-72 has nice ridge in center of fender.

Sounds like your shotgun goes back into the closet now since the 69 nose takes its place over the fireplace

I bought a garage full of 71 le mans parts today for $250..Christmas in July.
Studying the 70-72 is really confusing.
My 70 front end nose is fiberglass.
Maybe they used fiberglass to smooth the original metal nose?
                  example..obviously not my ride.

The nose I bought today looks like this..I didn't get the bumper though and cant use the included hood with my current front end.
The nose is metal..rusty but solid.

included parts include core support, hood, driver door,10 bolt rear end, dash, hood latch and spring, fenders, inner fenders, quarter glass, door sill plates.
window cranks, heater box/blower,inside/outside door handles, interior trim, package tray, steering box,and boxes of other assorted parts and hardware...he claims they are 70...but I believe they were made in 70 as a 71 model.
Can anyone clarify when they changed from the larger chrome bumper/larger raised area on hood of 70 to the 71-72 flatter style?

71-72 are pretty much the same. 70 is its own beast. Are there any 70 front blinker lens in that stuff. One of our admin Red needs a set

I'm in need of the lenses myself...didn't get them tonight...but the guy is checking for more parts today...couldn't fit everything in my Buick trunk..going back tonight with a truck for the rest of the items...A body door looks funny sitting in the full size Buick trunk...should have taken photos.
Guy is moving and doesn't want to haul everything in the move...sold his project years ago...was angry that folks called but never arrived to buy the parts...I was the first guy to faithfully show up.

This is what a trunk used to hold...there is a door at the bottom...2d6mlhu.jpg
