            Yes "rare" as is uncommon or unusual. Those dashes are all over and repoped. People make them out to be something special or "rare" because alot of them cracked over the years. The black mint condition one in SpaceLord. I got for $40 outta that 73 Firebird.

              What? Your car is not original as it came out of the factory, parts have been changed. I heard that at an auction years ago with a '65 GP that was for sale. Dumb guy said it cant be original if ANYTHING had been replaced even the armrests couldn't have lasted this long.

                          Just remember the bottom line it's your car! You do what you think is right. You wanna cut it or you don't. Just make sure when you decide that it's your decision and you feel good about it.

                          I remember back when I cut mine a few people comment on how I could cut a mint black dash. So what it's mine, I cut it because I can.
