  • Rebuilt 400 turbo transmission

    I already have a HD sprag and an extra clutch pack installed in my transmission. Anything else I should have to make more Heavy Duty??? Oh I do have an extra deep tranny pan

              Yeah second gear burn out are BAD. Hard on tranny. Tomorrow I will drop of the bird and see what he thinks.

                  What kind of vacuum are you pulling with the new cam Bill? Low vac signal will cause some funny shifting issues in a T400. How about the modulator? Was it replaced when your guy did the look see on it? Is it a stock unit or one of the adjustable modulators? It could be sticking or malfunctioning causing those late 1-2 shifts as well.

                      I have a vacuum gauge. Hummmm never checked. Do I just check at idel??? And how much should I have at idel?? Its a stock non adjustable modulator.

                        Running my vacuum straight from the back of the carb then T ed. 1 to the PVC valley pan and the other side to the modulator.
